Enjoyed a delicious jacket potato with chicken tikka followed by cake with cheese on our way to the Cathedral. The food was excellent and the staff were all very friendly. Will certainly visit again when in Ripon.

Called Tuesday 26th March - afternoon. Gorgeous, atmospheric little cafe! Built 1605, lots of beams etc. Lovely friendly staff. They seemed to know their regulars but were just as friendly to first time visitors. Quick service. Lots of choice of cake. Very busy. Big turnover of customers. We had passion fruit cheesecake and sticky ginger. Might be tricky for wheelchairs - but I feel the staff would do their best to accommodate anyone. We will definitely return when next in Ripon. Yes, I would definitely recommend

A lovely venue and highly recommend. Visited on a Saturday for an early lunch. It filled up very fast with waits of up to half an hour for tables, so be aware during busy periods. A lovely full menu with lots of choice and a very delicious selection of fresh cakes and scones.

We visited Ripon for one day and stopped here for afternoon tea for two, it was very nice (good scone and cake selection, I really liked the courgette and lime cake). We enjoyed the atmosphere and decorations.

Staff very friendly. Called in for coffee and cake and we weren’t disappointed. Very good selection, Scone with cream and jam was delicious, carrot cake was lovely, flapjack was very nice. Suggestion for background ambience or music would be good. Will definitely return to sample the other cakes and other items on the menu

Lovely little cafe, they managed to squeeze me in for half an hour before a reservation for a bite to eat and coffee. Seems like a really important community asset as the servers know everyone by name; would definitely be a regular if I lived locally!
